At Navy Pier, an eight-week neighborhoods of the world exhibit begins this weekend. You can enjoy live music, dance and colorful costumes as well as learning about the heritage of different nations each week. This event is free! http://www.navypier.com/neighborhoods/schedule.html

If you want to get outside, Susanna Farm in Lake Villa is offering fun on the farm from 11 am to 5 pm. There's a straw maze, hayrides and new Scottish Highland bull calves born in early January. And speaking of farm fun, in Waukegan a special indoor, interactive exhibit on farm life continues at the main public library downtown. A barn slide, chicken coop and fiberglass cow are among the attractions.
