Millions of Facebook users changed their profile pictures to the now-familiar image this week, featuring a pink equals-sign over a red background.
The picture was created by the “Human Right Campaign” to show support for gay marriage, which was debated this week in the Supreme Court. It differs slightly from the campaign’s normal logo, which features a yellow equals-sign over a blue background.
Facebook officials say that 2.7 million users changed their profile pictures to the logo on Tuesday alone.
