Discrimination could lead to more obesity

Weight discrimination could make people become even more obese.

A study published in the American Journal of Epidemiology reports that men who experienced high levels of discrimination were more likely to see their waist size increase by an inch compared to those who did not report discrimination.

Women who reported similar experiences also saw their waistlines grow by more than half an inch.

Researchers say this shows how discrimination hurts people physically.
