Magnificent Mile Shopping Festival

The Magnificent Mile Shopping Festival presented by MasterCard® is hitting Chicago August 22 - September 2, 2013 with a series of fun shopping related events. It is the perfect occasion to indulge in Chicago as a premier travel destination, and an opportunity to access the most of one of the top retail, dining, and hospitality destinations in the world. Visitors are invited to enjoy this 12-day shopping spectacular with a variety of special offers and a non-stop calendar of festivities at the district's 460 stores, 275 restaurants, 60 hotels and world-class attractions. It will feature celebrity appearances, unique fashion shows, culinary celebrations, live outdoor concerts and more - all with special benefits for MasterCard® cardholders.

A series of fashion shows, both styling and sporty, many of which will take place outdoors:

  • Thursday, August 22: The Magnificent Mile's retail centers, 900 North Michigan Shops, The Shops at North Bridge and Water Tower Place host a rocking outdoor fashion show along North Michigan Avenue featuring the fall's hottest trends. (Pioneer Court - 401 N. Michigan Avenue, 6:30 pm)
  • Friday, August 23: Showcase your signature style as part of The Magnificent Mile's first Street Style Campaign, in partnership with SPLASH magazine. Enjoy a complimentary blowout and earn the chance to be featured in SPLASH's widely-read "Who Wore What Where" section. (Pioneer Court - 401 N. Michigan Avenue, 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm)
  • Tuesday, August 27: Niketown Chicago hosts an in-store fashion show hosted by Larsa Pippen of The Real Housewives of Miami, featuring the latest in athletic and sportswear (Niketown Chicago, 669 N. Michigan Avenue, Time TBD)
  • Thursday, August 29: The Shops at North Bridge partner with The Roof at theWit Hotel for Roof Runway, a fashion show featuring the hottest emerging designers, favorite boutiques and admired designers. Guests are invited to enjoy beautiful city views from the 27th floor while reveling in the latest styles presented on the rooftop patio. (ROOF on theWit, 201 N. State Street, Time TBD)
  • Gourmet tastings, on-street samples and over-the-top eating contests will satisfy and entertain:

  • Tuesday, August 27: Top celebrity chefs, including Art Smith, and 18 of Chicago's top restaurants serve up delicious bites during "A Magnificent Taste," The Magnificent Mile's annual outdoor culinary event under a beautiful tent in full view of scenic Michigan Avenue.   • Each weekend of the festival is dedicated fun for the whole family:

  • Saturday, August 24 – Sunday, August 25: The Magnificent Mile plays host to shoppers and their furry friends during the "Pamper Your Pooch" weekend. Special pet-friendly activities and amenities, including a canine-friendly river cruise aboard Chicago's First Lady Cruises, will be featured throughout the district. (The Magnificent Mile district)
  • Sunday, September 1: Radio Disney presents a top Disney musical artist in an outdoor concert and meet-and-greet over Labor Day weekend. (John Hancock Center Plaza, 875 N. Michigan Avenue, 12:00pm)
  • Monday, September 2: Radio Disney invites fans to an exclusive meet-and-greet with a Disney Channel star. (MasterCard Priceless Pavilion—401 N. Michigan Avenue, Time TBD)
