November 28, 2013 (CHICAGO)

The Harbor Light Center on Chicago's West Side says it expects to serve about 1,200 meals Thursday; 500 are eaten at the center while hundreds more are delivered to those unable to make it to the facility.

The Salvation Army's Englewood Corps Red Shield Center hosted about 500 people and their families for a Thanksgiving feast. Volunteers from the Cheesecake Factory restaurant were on hand to help greet visitors and serve the meals.

The center offers a variety of services, including educational and recreational programs, to people in the community.
