Brown, 73, was shot on March 10, 2014, after two men forced their way into his East Side home. He died two weeks later.
Brown was with the Chicago Police Department for 38 years. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann.
Police are still looking for Brown's killers. A $15,000 reward is offered for the arrest and conviction of individuals in the case. Anyone with information should call detectives at (312) 747-8272.
