Job: Station Traffic and Sales Service Manager

ABC 7 Chicago seeks a motivated self-starter looking to overachieve in the role of Sales Service Manager at one of the highest rated television stations in the 3rd largest market of the United States.

Responsibilities:
? Duties include managing orders, preemptions and having an overall knowledge of sales clients, accounts and their intricacies.
? Responsibilities include oversight of inventory at the station level as well as work in conjunction with the stations inventory coordinator at the newly created ABC Owned Station Central Hub Operation.
? Flexibility in quickly changing environment including:
o Coordinating with ABC Hub Specialist on all activity.
o Identifying and re-booking lost spots from breaking news.
o Adding new spots or taking off spots from deadline logs.
? Consistent and constant communication with Sales Managers on rates and sellout of programming and dayparts.
? Manage displaced spots and work inventory by coordinating makegoods to maximize station revenue with Local Account Executives and NTVS offices.
? Additional duties include working with the VP of Research & Programming to publish digital and D2/D3 channel schedules and all schedule changes (internally and externally).
? Monitor network programming and issue alerts internally.
? Insure compliance with FCC rules regarding: children's programming, Issue/Program Report, etc. and act as liaison with Legal Dept.

Basic Qualifications:
? A minimum of 7+ years of television traffic department experience is required for the position.
? The candidate must have experience in performing multiple traffic functions specifically inventory management, log production in order to maximize revenue and achieve monthly, quarterly and annual financial goals of WLS-TV & ELS-TV.
? The position will also require experience in National sales coordination in which the candidate will act as liaison between ABC7 and our 9 National Sales representative offices.

Preferred Qualifications:
? Knowledge of commercial inventory management in Wide-Orbit preferable.

Required Education:
College Degree Required.
