Police warn Albany Park residents of armed robberies

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The Chicago Police Department is warning Albany Park residents of multiple armed robberies that have occurred in that neighborhood recently.

Police said there have been several robberies in which one or two offenders approach the victims on the street and demand the victim's property while pointing a handgun at the victim.

Two robberies occurred on Nov. 9, one in the 3800-block of North Hamlin at 1:30 a.m. and the next in the 4600-block of North Pulaski at 9:30 a.m. Another happened on Nov. 12 in the 2700-block of West Wilson at 10 p.m. and the last robbery was on Nov. 15 in the 3300-block of North Avers at 12:15 a.m.
