Prostitute sentenced to 15 years for murder of Brother Rice teacher

CHICAGO (WLS) -- An Ohio woman was sentenced Thursday to 15 years in prison for killing a Brother Rice High School teacher.

A jury found Alisha Walker guilty of fatally stabbing Al Filan in January 2014.

Filan had invited walker and another prostitute into his home before they got into an argument.

The woman's lawyer claimed she acted in self-defense.

Prosecutors argued that Walker was the aggressor who initiated the attack.
