Two killed in laundromat fire

Two men were in killed in a fire at a southwest suburban laundromat early Friday morning. A Chicago Ridge police officer was the first to spot the smoke coming from the 24-hour laundromat at 106th and Ridgeland Avenue in Chicago Ridge.

Firefighters found the two men near the front door of the building. They were rushed to the hospital where they were pronounced dead.

Officials believe they may have been in the laundromat to escape the cold.

Officials are now trying to identify the two fire victims.
