Vandals hit nearly two dozen homes in a suburban Posen neighborhood overnight.

Homeowners awoke to find what is believed to be gang symbols spray painted on the side of their homes and fences. The graffiti is in an area of 145th Street near Western.

Police officers were out examining the damage and interviewing homeowners Sunday. Some residents ABC7 Chicago spoke with say this is not the first time the neighborhood has been hit by vandals.

"A couple of weeks ago, they broke out windows, like I say, this is a disappointment to me," said homeowner Ignacial Carrillo.

"My house has been tagged three times, and it's just getting annoying. I am wasting so much money painting over it. I am sick of it," said Rich Burrell, also a homeowner.

Police say the neighborhood is one several that was hit by vandals.
