State's attorney candidates push for votes

Candidates fighting to be the next Cook County state's attorney spent their Sunday at various locations stumping for votes.

Bob Milan is one of six Democratic candidates running for the office. He was with voters at a pub Sunday night in downtown Chicago.

One of his opponents, Anita Alvarez, got her day started shaking hands with voters at Lou Mitchell's restaurant in the Loop.

Tom Allen also met with supporters Sunday at the Chicago Federation of Labor headquarters.

Meanwhile, Howard Brookins visited with worshipers at a South Loop church.

Candidate Larry Suffredin met seniors at the Lake Shore Health Center late Sunday afternoon.

The remaining democratic candidate, Tommy Brewer, did not hold an event Sunday.

Tony Peraica is the only Republican running for Cook County state's attorney.
