Only about 30-percent of students at west suburban Geneva High School went to school Friday after of a threat of violence. Police patrolled the high school and security was tightened. Those who did go to class were only allowed to come and go through the main doors and all bags, backpacks and purses were barred from the school.

Officials said a threat about potential violence was found written on a bathroom wall.

They plan to maintain heightened security until the situation is resolved.
