A celebration of Polish heritage and culture took place Sunday at Chicago's Navy Pier.People enjoyed traditional music, dance, costumes and Polish food.

Chicago is home to the largest Polish population outside of Warsaw. Sunday's celebration was timed in conjunction with the Pulaski Day holiday in Illinois Monday.

A number of area services and schools will be affected because of the holiday: Chicago's public schools are closed, and suburban schools and catholic school closings vary. Public libraries in Chicago are closed, while many in the suburbs are open.

Many county courts will be closed, but federal and state courts will be open.

Drivers parking in downtown Chicago Monday must feed meters.
