Indiana State Police Sgt. Kim Riley declined to speculate whether the body is that of Saunders, who was last seen Friday night. He said there were no signs of foul play.
Investigators say the car had hit a large rock. Riley says there were no skid marks and there was no evidence of any injuries inside the car.
Riley said the body appears to be that of a white male and would probably be identified by the Tippecanoe County coroner's office Thursday.
