Greektown restaurant closed by health dept.

Inspectors with the Chicago Department Of Public Health have shut down a popular restaurant in Greektown.Greek Islands at 200 South Halsted was ordered closed after inspectors discovered mouse feces and live fruit flies in a basement food-storage area, among several other violations.

Wednesday's inspection was triggered by a customer who called 311 to claim that his family of five became ill after recently eating at Greek Islands.
