Loyola opens new hospital tower in Maywood

Loyola University hospital has opened a new tower that will help patients heal in high-tech surroundings.The ribbon-cutting ceremony was held Sunday in Maywood in front on an 18-foot waterfall.

The tower offers private patients rooms with a scenic view of Chicago and is equipped with a pharmacy robot that will dispense medication and a super-strong MRI.

There also is a room where patients and doctors can see recorded footage of their operations.

The project costs the hospital $120 million.
