Slain student's family rallies against violence

The parents of 18-year-old Albert Vaughn were at the Tabernacle Church on Chicago's South Side Saturday morning to draw attention to youth violence.

Vaughn was beaten to death in Chicago's Englewood community. His mother says there is a way to stop the violence.

"We need help. Not just parents; we need the city. [We need] other parents to come help out. It takes a village to raise a child. They took it from us. We've got to get it back," Yolanda Johnson said.

Nathaniel Tucker, 23, has been charged in Vaughn's murder.
