Volunteers give Chicago homes a makeover

On Saturday, 74 homes in two Chicago neighborhoods are getting a makeover. Thousands of volunteers from 'Rebuilding Together Metro Chicago' are hard at work in Englewood and Markham. They're repairing homes for the elderly and less fortunate.

Every year the group targets a neighborhood and reaches out to homeowners who need help.

Dorothy Jones says she filled out an application and forgot about it until she received a letter saying her house had been chosen.

"It is gorgeous and I love it. I'm thankful I was picked. I'm thankful that it's being done and it's just a blessing," said Dorothy Jones, homeowner.

Under the program this year -- more then 10,000 houses across the nation will be repaired by 200,000 volunteers.
