CTA crash survivors asking questions

Leroy, 14, and 11-year-old Ciara Bridges were just entering the Cermak-Chinatown station when the driver of a semi plowed into the building and a bus stop. Both were taken to the hospital and ok, but they still had questions for the driver.

"I just want to know what was going through his mind when he crashed," Leroy said.

The 51-year-old truck driver is in police custody but had not been charged as of Sunday night.

Elosia Guerrero, 47, and 18-year-old Delisia Brown were killed in the accident. Guerrero was engaged to be married to a man named Oscar Orozco, who says it is not his place to judge the driver.

"I won't judge anybody. I could be mean and say, 'I hope he gets what other people think he should get,' but I'd be wrong to do that. I'm hurting enough," Orozco said.

The driver of the semi passed a blood alcohol test but refused a urinalysis test. Police are now reportedly focusing on the driver's log book in their investigation.
