International Workers Day rally in Chicago

CHICAGO The group gathered at the Haymarket Monument in the city's West Loop. Speakers touched on issues including fair trade agreements, workers' access to healthcare and Thursday's 'May Day' immigration march.

The event was held to promote fairness and justice in the workplace.

" The one thing that all human beings have in common is work," president Larry Spivak.

The Haymarket Monument sits at the site of a deadly clash between police and striking workers in 1886.
