Chicago's beautiful skyline becomes the backdrop for the soulful sounds of world-renowned Gospel singer Tecora Rogers and the Chicago Spirituals when they perform aboard the Spirit of Chicago. Chicago native Tecora Rogers (www.tecorarogers.com) has been inspiring audiences all over the world. This year she once again steps aboard the Chicago Spirit of Chicago to share her gift of song during Gospel Lunch Cruises on select Saturdays in 2008: June 14, July 12, August 23, September 13, October 4 and December 6.
This Gospel celebration includes a lunch buffet prepared fresh on board, dancing, and an uplifting performance by the acclaimed Gospel group. Combined with breathtaking views of the city, the cruise makes for one remarkable memory to share with family and friends. Gospel Lunch Cruises begin boarding at 11 a.m. and the ship travels along the Lake Michigan shoreline from Noon until 2 p.m. Tickets are $38.90 per person; taxes, fees, prepaid service charges or fuel surcharges are extra.

ABOUT TECORA ROGERS AND THE CHICAGO SPIRITUALS
Tecora Rogers and the Chicago Spirituals is a gospel group that blends contemporary and traditional gospel. The group is anchored by international favorite Tecora Rogers who has toured extensively throughout Europe performing gospel with the Shirley Wahls Singers and as a solo artist performing jazz and gospel. In 2003, Tecora was offered the opportunity to bring her own group to Europe and she established the Chicago Spirituals. The group completed their first European tour successfully in December 2004. They performed in several cities throughout Italy. Their tour was so successful they were immediately invited back to perform in 2005 at many of the same venues as well as others. Although there were a couple of group member changes, the 2005 tour was more successful and introduced the Chicago Spirituals' first CD. The 2007-08 tour line-up includes: Tecora Rogers, Group Leader Soprano / Alto; Betty Jones, Alto / Tenor; Corneal Harper, Jr., Baritone; Kevin Smith, Musical Director / Pianist. and newest member Marilyn Hearns, Soprano.
