CTA lines to experience change this weekend

Yellow Line service will be suspended between 11 p.m. Friday and 4 a.m. Monday. And Red Line trains will be running on the elevated tracks, not in the subway.

But for those who use the Brown Line, and more specifically the Armitage station, there's good news. Renovations there are finally complete.

Longer platforms will accommodate longer trains and there are additional exits and entrances. In addition, the station is now accessible to customers with disabilities.

The Armitage station is the 10th station out of 18 to be renovated as part of the Brown Line Renovation Project.
