Homeless pets up for adoption

Volunteers from Paws Chicago just returned from shelters in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Quincy, Illinois. They brought loads of animals with them, and had them spayed or neutered.

Now the pets need new owners to take them in.

"Some of these came from homes where people lost everything. They took really good care of their animals and had to give them up because they really want them to be in a good home. So they're happy that we're taking them. Others were abandoned," said Paula Fasseas, PAWS Chicago.

Paws Chicago is the city's largest no-kill humane organization.
