A 38-year-old woman, identified as Margarita Danuelo, died. A 19-year-old man was also injured. Danuelo was shot in the abdomen, and the man was shot in the hand. Both were taken to Stroger Hospital. The man is expected to be ok.
Danuelo was a bartender at Alfredo's Bar, where she was working at the time of the shooting. Police say the shots were fired from outside the bar into the establishment and that the two were not the intended targets.
Police are still investigating. Sunday night, the bar had reopened, but no arrests had been made.
