Anita Hill keynote speaker at Chicago expo

CHICAGO Hill became well known during the confirmation hearings for U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. She accused him of sexual harassment.

Hill is now a professor at Brandeis University. She says this is an important time for black women.

"There's a lot of potential in African-American women and our experiences, and I think we're now at a point in our lives, in the life of the country, that those messages are going to be heard and I'm excited about that," said Hill.

The Black Women's Expo continues through the weekend at McCormick Place.
