The crash happened on the inbound side of the expressway near Morgan. Illinois State Police District Chicago investigators were at the scene at approximately 4 a.m. Saturday.
Witnesses say people in two cars were shooting at the victim's car. When police arrived, they found 26-year-old Antoine Fountain suffering from gunshot wounds. He was taken to Stroger Hospital where he died.
The incident is under investagation. No one is in custody.
