Chicago's architectural firms design children's tables to benefit Children's Memorial Hospital's "Create for a Cure"

CHICAGO, IL (August 27, 2008) - Children's Memorial Hospital announced today the City of Chicago's prominent architectural and design firms will spearhead the 3rd annual Create for a Cure charity effort by designing children's tables auctioned off to benefit Chicago's premiere children's hospital.

Judges will award table designers on September 10, 2008 in five categories: Most Environmentally Friendly, Most Educational, Most Interactive, Most Inspiring and Kids' Pick. Tables created through the program will be on display in the Merchandise Mart, Michigan Plaza, Prudential Plaza, The Sears Tower, and UBS Tower. Tables will also be available online at http://www.cfc-chicago.org where a public auction will take place through September 10th.

The program is presented by furniture dealer Business Office Systems (BOS) and furniture manufacturers ELC Contract, and OFS. Brands with sponsorships from many of Chicago's leading firms in real estate and related industries. All materials will be donated.

"The commercial real estate industry of Chicago continues to give back to the community and this event is an excellent example of the entrepreneurial spirit meeting those in need" said BOS President, Glenn Basgall. "Further, the prominent architects and designers of Chicago have put their professional talents to use to create these mini-masterpieces, so the end result is that the kids win."
