A man who was wrongly convicted of murder is thanking high school students who supported his fight for freedom. Alton Logan was released from prison in April after serving 26 years for a crime he did not commit.

Another man confessed that he was responsible, but lawyers could not release the information until that man died.

Students at Regina Dominican High School in Wilmette sent a "Free Alton Logan " petition with over 250 signatures to Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan. Today, Logan expressed his appreciation during a student assembly at the school.
