Advantage of nighttime trips to the bathroom?

There may be an upside to having to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. Researchers say people who wake up at night to go are less likely to develop bladder cancer. Researchers compared more than 880 men and women who had recently been diagnosed with bladder cancer with more than 990 healthy people.

Those who used the bathroom at least twice each night were had a 40 to 50 percent lower risk of developing bladder cancer. This effect was seen no matter how much water a person drank.
