Police: Girl shot in gang crossfire

A teenage girl is wounded after being caught in gang crossfire in the Lawndale neighborhood.The 15-year-old girl was standing outside her home in the 2200-block of South Sacramento Avenue Monday night when she was shot in the shoulder.

Police say rival gang members were firing at each other about a half block away when one of the bullets struck the girl. She was treated at Mount Sinai Hospital and later released.

No one is in custody.
