An additional $50,000 is being made available to fund the next round of Mikva peace grants. The initiative began as a pilot program aimed at addressing youth violence. Daley's message to students is that one case of violence is one too many.
In 2008, hundreds of students from 20 high schools led peace projects which included school barbeques and reward programs for positive behavior.
