A new herbal formula could someday soon be able to control allergic reactions to peanuts and other foods. Scientists at the Center for Chinese Therapy for Allergy and Asthma at Mount Sinai say they have already proven this in lab animals. They say not only did they reverse the peanut allergic reaction but the protection persisted for about nine months after initial treatment. They are hoping the same formula is effective on humans and are currently undergoing trials to see if it works.

The remedy they call food allergy herbal formula also seemed to work on tree nuts, fish and shellfish.
