Flu strain is Tamiflu resistant

The popular anti-viral drug Tamiflu is not much help this year. It seems to be ineffective against this season's most common type of flu.

A study in the Journal of the American Medical Association says this season's most common flu strain has mutated and is now resistant to the medication.

The drug is one of several medications used to help lessen the severity of the illness.

Public health officials say the best bet is still the flu shot, and it's not too late to get one.
