Leaning crane stops CTA train service

March 19, 2009 (CHICAGO) A crane at a construction site at Damen and Lake slipped in mud and was leaning toward the train tracks. Service was stopped as a precaution as was traffic on Lake Street.

Shuttle buses were used to move passengers between the Ashland and California stops but after a couple of hours crews were able to level the crane.

Train service and traffic quickly got back to normal.
