People who have diabetes often have chronic foot pain because of nerve damage. But there could be relief. Doctors in Taiwan have found Botox injections can help ease the pain.

Researchers tested the treatment in 18 patients with type-2 diabetes who had nerve-related pain in both feet. The patients were randomly assigned to get injections of Botox or saline.

After 12 weeks each group received the opposite treatment. Forty-four percent of patients reported a significant reduction in pain after getting Botox treatments.
