'Net usage taking bigger chunk out of family time

June 18, 2009 A new report finds this is seriously eroding the amount of time families spend together.

The study from the University of California found the amount of time per week that families interact as a group has fallen by nearly 30 percent between 2005 and 2008.

Researchers say, in the last two decades, there has been an erosion in family dinners that take place without gadgets.
