A queen was crowned Sunday night in suburban Elmwood Park. Natalie Loss, 21, will reign over Chicago's Columbus Day Parade. She's from Roselle.

Young women of Italian heritage were invited to take part in tonight's pageant. Judges selected the queen and her court based on poise, personality, presentation, and beauty.

The Joint Civic Committee of Italian Americans sponsored Sunday night's competition. The parade is October 12th.
