Twenty-nine-year-old Joshua Darnell was found dead in the van in the 1800-block of East 71st Street after he crashed.
Minutes later, a 30-year-old motorist was shot in the stomach and crashed into some cars in the 1900-block of East 71st Street.
No one is in custody for either shooting.
