A computer virus may be behind the theft of $350,000 from a northwest suburban school district. The money was taken from Crystal Lake Elementary School District 47.

Officials are blaming it on the so-called clampi virus which captures usernames and passwords to wire money out of bank accounts.

The Washington Post reports that hackers may have used the virus to steal millions from American companies, banks and schools nationwide.
