Yom Kippur begins Sunday night

The setting of the sun marks the beginning of Yom Kippur Sunday night.Known as the "Day of Atonement," it is the most solemn of all the Jewish holidays.

Those belonging to the Jewish faith will fast from Sunday night until sundown Monday to repent for their sins.

Most of the holiday is spent praying in synagogue.
