Quigley endorses Quinn

October 5, 2009 (CHICAGO) Quigley joined Quinn for a press conference in the Loop on Monday. He praised Quinn for tackling the difficult environment left after former governor Rod Blagojevich was indicted on corruption charges and forced out of office.

"The way I see Illinois right now is it's becoming ungovernable because we've lost the people trust. Once you 've lost it, it's difficult to retain, especially in this economy. I believe Governor Quinn is regaining the public's trust," said U.S. Rep. Mike Quigley, (D) 5th District.

Gov. Quinn will face Illinois comptroller Dan Hynes and Bill "Dock" Walls in the Democratic primary.
