Police issue alert for missing man

May 21, 2009 (Waukegan, Ill.) The Waukegan Police Department is requesting the assistance of the public in locating a missing person.

Daniel J. Wedrall has been missing since November 25, 2009, when he was given a ten day pass to leave the Glen Lakes Terrace Nursing Home located at 2222 14th St., Waukegan, IL. The 47 year old Wedrall was reportedly going to go to his mother's home in the 0-99 block of Library Ln. in Grayslake, IL for Thanksgiving.

After Wedrall left the Glen Lakes facility on November 25th, Glen Lakes staff called his mother's house and found that he never arrived. Wedrall's mother then filed a missing persons report with the Waukegan Police Department on November 26th.

Daniel Wedrall was last seen leaving the nursing home on foot. Wedrall is described as a male white, 6'3", 180 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a brown jacket with fur on top, blue jeans and blue and red gym shoes. He also has a tattoo of "DAN" on his left arm. Wedrall does suffer from mental health issues, but is not considered to be a danger to himself or others.
