Buffalo Grove bank robbery suspect arrested

December 17, 2009 (BUFFALO GROVE, Ill.) Thirty-seven-year-old Anthony Singletary allegedly entered the TCF bank inside a Jewel food store in Buffalo Grove Thursday morning. He pulled out a handgun and demanded money from the tellers.

After he fled, witnesses pointed out Singletary's getaway car to police officers. The officers followed the car until it crashed into a light pole about three miles from the bank.

Singletary was taken to a hospital complaining of stomach pain. Authorities say he will be charged with armed robbery.
