Research shows drinkers consume more booze at home

If you plan on toasting the New Year at home you might want to pay careful attention to what you are pouring. British researchers say people tend to pour well over what they would get in a bar.

Those between the ages of 31 to 50 are considered the most generous pourers, giving nearly an extra half-ounce of alcohol in each drink they made.

The "Know Your Limits Campaign" says that can be a problem because people may unwittingly be serving and drinking much more alcohol then they realize.

Health experts say using a measuring cup could help make a big difference.
