Soldier's body returned to Chicago

January 7, 2010 (CHICAGO) The Chicago soldier was killed when his vehicle was blown up by an improvised explosive device.

Soldiers saluted the hearse as it left the National Guard Armory.

The Patriot Guard escorted Ware's body to a South Side funeral home.

Ware was born in Liberia and came to America when he was 12 to escape violence. He joined the National Guard at age 21,and his family says he was extremely proud to be part of the military.
