The first place prize went to the team from St. Paul of the Cross school in Park Ridge, Ill.
Those students will advance to the national competition in Washington DC in February.
Young engineers compete in Chicago competition
January 16, 2010 (CHICAGO) Teams from around the Midwest showed off their models to a panel of architecture and design judges. The models had to show a design for affordable living space to be used by victims of a disaster or financial emergency.
