Ill. lawmakers to host meeting on Asian carp

Some Illinois lawmakers are hosting a meeting in Washington D.C. to address the Asian carp crisis.Senator Dick Durbin and Congreswoman Judy Biggert say they want to work together with House and Senate members from state surrounding the Great Lakes to come up with ways to keep the fish from invading Lake Michigan.

The meeting will be held Wednesday morning. And on February 1st, the White House Council on Environmental Quality will meet Great Lakes governors about the carp situation.
