Mom charged in death of newborn baby girl

February 22, 2010 (CHICAGO)

Prosecutors says Marisol Molina took a drug used to induce labor on Wednesday and gave birth to a child the following day. Police say she then placed the baby inside a plastic bag and concealed the bag in a closet.

The baby was found Friday in Molina's apartment in the 6100-block of Sheridan Road, near Loyola University, in the Edgewater neighborhood.

Molina is being held on a $200,000 bond.
