The attack happened last summer at a park in suburban Sauk Village and was recorded with a cell phone camera.
Investigators say several girls beat and burned 17-year-old Mercedes Michaels and cut off her hair.
In addition to probation, the teen in court must complete 150 hours of community service and have no contact with the victim. Three other girls charged in the incident are due in court March 25th.
